# 1.5 - Why is SAMURAI on the Fantom (FTM) ?

Our goal is to bring DeFi into the average household. In this respect, we want SAMURAI to be <mark style="color:red;">**accessible to everyone**</mark>, including small holders.

Ethereum's high gas fees make it impossible for most people to access the Ethereum network.\
Therefore, we chose the FTM.
